Resident pleads for dog’s home

Volunteers needed for Cabot’s Relay For Life
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is seeking volunteers in Cabot — walkers, cancer survivors, caregivers, community leaders and anyone wanting to make a difference — to organize and recruit fundraising teams, garner community support, coordinate logistics, seek refreshments and prizes, plan entertainment and lend a hand to ensure the success of the upcoming event.

Regional Park is now open
Lonoke County Regional Park is now open, Mayor Eddie Joe Williams announced in a March 8 press release. A short trail, marked by orange and pink ribbons, begins at the west end of the police firing range parking lot and ends on the entrance road.

Natalie Way is crowned 2010 Teenage Senior Miss
Natalie Denise Way, a senior at Carlisle High School, won Teenage Senior Miss at the annual Miss Carlisle Pageant on Saturday night. She was crowned by 2009 Teenage Senior Miss Caroline Elizabeth Torian.

Skip and Teri King are teaching children four to 10 years old the basics of tennis at the Lonoke Community Center. The couple are professional licensed tennis instructors.
